Ok I don't know if this is a common problem for you but our cat Ozzy always does that to me in my sleep. Or he likes to wrap around my head like headphones. It's weird. But adorable.
That is where Luke sleeps! It is like trying to sleep with a weight on your head!
My 18 lb. kitty used to sleep directly on my chest purring. Or on my back if I flipped over. Miss him...
