Happy Halloween!

This is normally not the kind of lunchnote I would post, but I'm feelin' kinda sassy today, so what the hell. The top note is inspired by the type of nonsensical catch-phrases I was coming up with late last night before bed. Why? Who knows. I'm sure when Chris drew this he didn't think I would post it, which is why he made a second note.
I'm fairly certain this note refers to Saturday, not yesterday. Chris often has trouble with what day it is or how much time has passed. He also often forgets how old he is. :)
Congrats to commenter 24, Brian Winkeler! Brian, please email me at lunchnotes{at}gmail{dot}com with your mailing address and cookie preference (choc chip, oatmeal raisin, or store bought) and we'll get your prize sent out to you!
This made me laugh really, really hard. But it's probably only funny if you were at our house this morning while I was brushing my teeth.
Chris and I, er, um, I mean Brady has hit a wall in Lego Batman and cannot figure the level out. This is obviously embarassing because Lego Batman is kinda a kid's game and even though he is a smart, educated bear, he can't figure out this stupid game! Oh, how Brady wishes he still had that subscription to Nintendo Power so he could get through this level!
Chris and I went apple picking on Friday and came home with a ton of great apples, so I spent the weekend canning applesauce and apple butter. This is pretty much exactly how the kitchen looked all weekend!
When I lived in Montana, my bff/roommate Alison and I would wait until we could no longer bear the cold to put on the heat in our apartment. I think we lasted until sometime in mid-November (which is COLD in Montana) until we had to turn it on. It was partly a game to test our toughness and partly to cut back on utility bills so we could buy more beer (sorry Mom & Dad!).
Even though our vacation got cancelled, I am still off work all week, which means Chris hasn't been making me lunch and so, no lunchnotes. I had to beg him to draw this one, so I apologize that this week will be light on the posting.
One bright spot in all the no-vacation nonsense is that I will still have the week off work and we WILL have time to go see a double feature of Whip It and Zombieland. Woo Hoo!
