So I had this dream a while back where I was irate and screaming at everyone. Part of my dream took place in a Qdoba type restaurant and someone took my burrito. I would like to just say "Oh silly dream Lulu, screamin' about her burrito". But seriously, I WILL YELL IF YOU TAKE MY BURRITO. I LOVE THEM THAT MUCH!

#1 pet peeve

This note was inspired by an email Chris received.  Should you ever email Chris, please, please use full sentences and full spellings for words.  I've found few things irritate him more in life than substituting numbers for words or spelling like you're texting.  He is kinda like a cranky old man in that respect.  Now get going - before Chris yells at you to get off the yard!

i feel sorry

for folks who don't have QuikTrip. It's the only gas station that is Lunchnotes-approved for it's clean, clean bathrooms and an endless amount of drink options. Seriously, QT is rad. As much as a gas station/convenience store can be rad.

waking up

There are a few things I am really, really bad at. Getting out of bed for work in the morning is one of them. Also, getting popcorn in my mouth (instead of all over myself and the floor) at the movie theater and putting away my shoes.

Chris's beard has been getting an odd amount of attention lately.   It's not like some crazy ZZ top thing he's got going on.  It's just some friggin' facial hair.  So calm down.

Sometimes it's hard to believe that Scout only weighs about 12 pounds when she is body-slamming the bedroom door at 3 am so she can get fed.  It's like an earthquake.

It's that lovely time of year when we can actually leave windows open, except now we have to worry that Scout will pounce through the screen when she is bird watching.

I would like to be Scout in my next life.  Seriously, this cat has it gooooooood.  Sorry for such a Scout-centric bunch of posts lately, but well, my cat is awesome and I love her so you're just going to have to deal with it.

Poor Brady.  Chris must have watched the Wonder Woman animated movie like five times in just a couple of days after we first bought it.

This is Chris. He's not only a wonderful husband but a talented comic book artist as well. He makes my lunch every morning and puts a lunch note in it.   This blog collects those lunch notes.

pen pal

Chris drew this one after I told him that I had a pen pal in grade school.  Her name was Fiona and she lived in England.  Also, I know she was real because she sent me pictures of her and her chickens.
